The short version
- Copy the characters and symbol sets and use them anywhere, including commercially. No credit needed, no permission needed.
- Do not scrape the library wholesale to rebuild it somewhere else.
- A nickname you submit stays yours; you give us permission to show it, and you can ask for it back.
- Every brand, game and platform named here belongs to its owner. We are not connected to any of them.
- Symbols render differently on different devices and platforms change their rules, so we cannot promise a particular result.
These terms cover the use of COOLMOJI, a free copy-and-paste library for emoji, kaomoji and Unicode symbols. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to pay, so most of this page is about two things: what you are free to do with the characters, and what we cannot promise about them once they leave the site for TikTok, Instagram or wherever else you paste them.

What you may do with what you find here
Copy it and use it, anywhere, for anything, including commercial work. You do not need to credit us and you do not need to ask.
That is not generosity so much as accuracy. The characters themselves come from the Unicode Standard, a public specification — a code point and its official name are not ours to license to you in the first place. What we have arranged is the collection, the grouping and the writing around it, and you are welcome to copy the characters out of it freely.
In practice that covers a display name, a bio, a caption, a message, a document, a logo draft, a school project, a client’s social account. If you are wondering whether a particular use is allowed, it almost certainly is.
What you may not do
Three things, and each one has a reason rather than a lawyer behind it.
- Do not copy the library wholesale. Taking the sets, groupings and page text in bulk to rebuild a competing library elsewhere is the one use we object to — that arrangement is the actual work here, and re-publishing it is not the same as copying a character out of it.
- Do not hammer the generator with automated requests. The site runs on modest hardware and serves people, not scripts. Heavy automated traffic gets blocked, and we would rather say so than surprise you.
- Do not present the site as yours or as someone else’s. That includes copying pages under another brand and implying a connection to us that does not exist.
Everything else is fair use of a free tool. If you are unsure, the contact page reaches a person who will give you a straight answer.
Nicknames and other things you submit
What you submit stays yours. By posting a nickname you give COOLMOJI a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to store, display and distribute it as part of the library — nothing more, and you can withdraw it by asking us to remove it.

Non-exclusive is the part worth reading twice: it means you keep every right you had. You can use the same nickname yourself, post it on another site, or register it somewhere — our permission to display it takes nothing away from you.
In return, when you submit something you are confirming it is yours to submit and that it is not someone else’s copyrighted material, not abusive, and not an attempt to publish a private person’s details. Submissions are capped at 30 characters and blocked terms are refused automatically, but a filter is not judgement: we remove anything that gets past it, and we do not have to explain a removal beyond telling you it happened.
You should be at least 13 years old to submit a nickname. What happens to submissions after that is set out in our privacy policy, including what is stored, for how long and how to have it deleted.
Names, brands and games we do not own
COOLMOJI is an independent library. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or officially connected to any game, app, platform, studio or brand named anywhere on this site.

TikTok, Instagram and every other product name, service name, logo and trademark mentioned here remain the property of their respective owners. We use those names only to describe where a symbol can be pasted and how it behaves there — which is descriptive use, not a claim of any relationship. Unicode® is a registered trademark of Unicode, Inc.
The same line applies to characters from fiction. Where a page covers an aesthetic associated with a studio’s character, it contains text symbols only. We do not host, reproduce or distribute copyrighted character artwork, and if you believe a page has crossed that line, tell us and it comes down — the process is on the contact page.
What we cannot promise
The site is provided as it is. The single thing we cannot guarantee is the one people most want guaranteed: that a particular symbol will look the way you expect on somebody else’s screen.
That is not a disclaimer to hide behind, it is how text works. A character is drawn by the font on the device reading it, so the same clipboard content can appear perfectly on your phone, differently on a friend’s, and as an empty box on a third. We test what we publish and we say when something is unreliable, but we do not control the devices at the other end.
Platforms are the second variable. A social network can accept a decorated name today and reject it after an update, and can decide independently that a name breaks its own rules. The clearest live example: a TikTok username accepts only letters, numbers, full stops and underscores, so decorated characters belong in your display name instead. Our pages say so where it matters, but the rules are theirs to change.
So, plainly: use of this site is at your own risk, and we are not liable for losses arising from it — a rejected username, a broken layout, a symbol that renders as a box, or the site being unavailable while we fix something. Nothing here removes rights you have under the consumer law that applies where you live.
Availability and changes to the site
COOLMOJI is a free service, maintained by a small editorial team, and it can change. Pages get merged, symbol sets get reorganised and URLs occasionally move. We keep redirects where a page had real traffic, but we do not promise that any particular page will exist forever.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change, this page changes and the date at the top moves. We do not backdate that date and we do not quietly rewrite a clause to cover something we already did. Continuing to use the site after a change means the current version applies to you.
If something goes wrong between us
Write to us first. Almost everything that could turn into a dispute here — a takedown request, a nickname you want removed, a claim that a page copies something of yours — is settled faster by an email than by anything else, and anything we do not have the right to publish comes down when you tell us about it.
Because the site is run by an editorial team rather than a registered company, these terms do not nominate a court or a national law. If you need to raise something formally, tell us where you are and what you are claiming, and we will deal with it directly rather than hiding behind a jurisdiction clause.
How to reach us
Email support@coolmoji.com, or use the contact page, which sets out what to include for each kind of request and how long a reply takes. Who publishes the site and how pages are checked is described on the about page.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use COOLMOJI symbols commercially?
Yes. Copy them into client work, a product, a logo draft or an advertisement with no credit and no permission needed. The characters come from the Unicode Standard, a public specification, so they are not ours to license to you.
Do I have to credit COOLMOJI?
No. Attribution is welcome but never required for copying characters. The only thing we ask you not to do is republish the library itself in bulk somewhere else.
Who owns a nickname I submit?
You do. You grant a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to display it as part of the library, which takes none of your own rights away, and you can ask us to remove it at any time.
Is COOLMOJI connected to TikTok, Instagram or any game?
No. COOLMOJI is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any platform, game or brand named on the site. Those names are used descriptively, to say where a symbol can be pasted.
What if a symbol does not work where I paste it?
That is usually the font on that device or the platform’s own rules, neither of which we control. Tell us through the contact page with your device and the app, and we will check whether the page needs correcting.
Do I need an account to use the site?
No. There is no registration, no login and no paid tier. Everything, including the generator and every copy button, works without an account.
